Full Theatrical Trailer For Disney’s ‘John Carter’ Now Online

Yesterday on ‘Good Morning America’, a clip for the trailer premiered during an interview with Taylor Kitsch. Now we have the full theatrical version and it looks incredible!

Disney’s budget on the film was estimated to be $250 million and it looks like the majority was spent on visual effects and CGI. ‘John Carter’ does give off a bit of an ‘Avatar’ feel (another world, alien beings, human needing to save the alien world) but that could be because James Cameron has said that the Edgar Rice Burroughs’ ‘John Carter’ books were his inspiration while writing that movie. Nonetheless, it still looks massively stunning, epic and action packed.

See what I mean as you watch the full length trailer. I’m curious as to what you think of it, especially if you’ve read the ‘John Carter’ books. Let me know in the comments below!

Of course James Cameron would give credit to stories that are in the public domain. And then turn around and act as if he had never read Midworld, Hothouse or Call me Joe.

Sorry while I really like most of James’ stuff, Avatar was a big steaming pile of Calot poo. And I am hoping that the CGI is used to help tell the story, not the focal point of the movie.
