20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the upcoming ‘X-Men: First Class’ film.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn (‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Stardust’, ‘Layer Cake’) from a story by ‘X-Men’ and ‘X2’ director Bryan Singer, ‘X-Men: First Class’ goes back to the very beginning of Marvel Comics’ favorite mutants.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherrtook the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new) to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.

The film stars Jennifer Lawrence (‘Medium’, ‘Winters Bone’) as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, James McAvoy (‘Wanted’) as Professor Charles Xavier, Rose Byrne (‘Insidious’,’Sunshine’) as Dr. Moira MacTaggert, Michael Fassbender (‘300’, ‘Jonah Hex’) as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, January Jones (‘Unknown’, ‘Mad Men’) as Emma Frost, Kevin Bacon (‘Super’) as  Sebastian Shaw, Nicholas Hoult (‘Clash of the Titans’) as Hank McCoy/Beast, and Lucas Till (‘Battle: Los Angeles’, ‘Medium’) as Alex Summers/Havok.

‘X-Men: First Class’ will hit theaters on June 3rd 2011.
