While worse Hollywood rumors have circulated, no doubt diehard ‘Superman’ fans are going to be at the very least slightly disappointed to hear that Lindsay Lohan might have a role in the next ‘Superman’ film. Personally, I thought I felt my eyes bleed a little when I first read this little tidbit of news but thankfully nothing’s carved in stone as of yet.
The word on the street is that she’s been having an awful lot of telephone conversations with the makers of the new ‘Superman’ film, starring Henry Cavill. According to TMZ, a source close to Lindsay Lohan has informed them that the former actress-turned-rehab star will be meeting with the “Superman” people soon about a major part in Zack Snyder’s upcoming film.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the fact that she would not be starring as Lois Lane. This source claims that even so, she has her hopes set on a “major character” role in the movie. Which role she’ll take is impossible to know at this point but if there’s something definite in the works then the information will be disseminated in the near future.
Unfortunately for her, Ms. Lohan is facing felony theft charges today which may very well make her unavailable in the future. The question arises: does Warner Bros. want to take a chance with an actress who’s obviously very unreliable and risky? Even with insurance in place, this would be a big risk to them because of her constant trouble with the law.
