Marvel Comics ‘Fantastic Four’ To Meet Its Doom

With issue #588, Marvel Comics is bringing it’s longest-running title, ‘Fantastic Four’, to an end. In issue #587, a team member is set to die and the issue is being shipped with the cover hidden.

Issue #587, hitting stores on January 26, will not be overprinted or distributed on newsstands. A Spoiler Variant cover, with art by John Cassaday, will ship one week after #587 hits stores.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ comic book was created in 1961 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee.  Since then, it has been a staple for Marvel Comics spawning numerous television series, movies and toys.

Issue #588 will be in stores on February 23.
