In a recent trailer for ‘Terminator: Genisys‘ a big twist from the film’s plot was revealed and now it seems that the studio is embracing it in the latest poster for the film.

Now one has to ask if the new poster is going to be placing this reveal quite literally in the center of things as though it isn’t that big of a twist after all. Is the studio just going to be handing us the movie on a platter or do they have something even larger in store for us when the film is released on the 1st of July?

So, if you’ve avoided the last trailer and are worried about spoilers you may want to turn back now. At this point though I’m pretty sure that the cat is out of the bag and we’re going to be getting this little surprise handed to us on all future promotional imagery and video.

So, without further ado, here is the poster!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is clearly Jason Clarke as John Connor who clearly is a Terminator. Was he at some point replaced with a Terminator? Did he end up becoming a cyborg of some kind? There isn’t really a firm lead in on what we’ll see when the movie is released, but even if it is only a temporary replacement, this is sure to stir up some trouble for our saviors from Judgement Day.

What are your thoughts on the latest shot of John Connor as a machine? Do you think the studio was worried on sales and thought this will draw more viewers or is this not that big of a twist in the film and we have something even more interesting in store? Share your thoughts below!
