Since the first trailer debuted at last year’s San Diego Comic Con, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ has been making the post-apocalyptic world look cool. Thanks to various images and magazine covers, we can see that George Miller’s return to the world of the Road Warrior looks rugged, gritty, and gorgeous all at the same time. But now we have a new trailer for the sequel/reboot starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult.
Just like the old saying goes, big things come in small packages. Even though the latest international trailer for the first ‘Mad Max’ movie in thirty years, it certainly packs a big punch. It features much of the same footage as the previous trailers, but there are a few new pieces to this puzzle here and there, including a better look at The Wives, Charlize Theron’s group of wandering warrior women played by Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee, and Courtney Eaton. And of course, Verdi’s ‘Requiem’ continues to be the epic soundtrack for all the insane action going on. You can see the new trailer below followed by the official synopsis of the film:
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.
Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.
And… Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
