Take A Closer Look At Ben Affleck’s Batman Cowl

It’s already been stated that the overall look of Batman in ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ will draw heavily from Frank Miller’s classic storyline ‘The Dark Knight Returns’. We’ve already seen a photograph that seems to indicate that his costume will be actual fabric, versus the armored look of previous movie versions.

Now we get a closer glimpse at the cowl Affleck will be wearing in the upcoming movie.

While the new cowl maintains the rubberized, armor look from previous films, it does sport shorter “ears” making it look closer to Miller’s drawings. It also has “wrinkles” which also mimic Miller’s work.

The cowl is on display as part of VIP Studio Tours: The Batman Exhibit, which is meant to celebrate the character’s 75th anniversary. The exhibit contains various costume pieces, props and vehicles from the many Batman films.
