Fans swoon at the romance between Snow White/Mary Margaret played by Ginnifer Goodwin and Prince Charming/David portrayed by Josh Dallas on ABC’s whimsical hit ‘Once Upon A Time’ chronicling the events that occur after the characters from classic fairy tales cross over into the real world. Well, real as far it exists on TV. But what happens when the romance from this fantasy series crosses over into the real real world? True love it seems, or should I say a Happily Ever After.
There’s a reason their chemistry is so strong onscreen… on Saturday April 12th, Goodwin and Dallas were married! This comes following their engagement last October, at which time they announced “We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at ‘Once Upon a Time’.” During a sunset ceremony, Goodwin wore a custom-designed gown by Monique Lhuillier and walked down the aisle as 30 close friends and family watched.
But the celebration doesn’t stop here. The couple, who met on the set of the show in 2011 (and according to sources had an “immediate connection”), are expecting their first child! Following their engagement, the soon-to-be-parents announced in November that Goodwin was indeed pregnant. (If it’s a girl, will they name her Emma?)
Rebecca Mader, who plays the Wicked Witch expressed, “She’s such a cool cat. She’s just really comfortable and really happy being pregnant, it’s lovely to be around. [She] and Josh are really, really excited to be parents.”
Dallas concurred stating, “We just can’t wait to meet it.” Speaking of meetings, he also described his first encounter with Goodwin by saying “It hit me like a blinding light. I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now!'”
Goodwin has some pretty physical sequences, especially as a swashbuckling forest-dweller in the fairy tale segments, so how will ‘Once Upon A Time’ handle her ever-growing baby bump? Word has it that this will actually be written into the show! Sounds like Emma (Jennifer Morrison) might be getting a baby brother or sister!
Congrats to the happy couple and may you truly have a “Happily Ever After!” (Maybe that could be a spin-off show!)
