I am not even going to lie to you, dear readers. My initial interests in and knowledge of ‘Divergent’ lie solely in Shailene Woodley, who was pretty amazing in ‘The Spectacular Now’ and is starring in the adaptation of John Green’s ‘The Fault In Our Star’. Thankfully through my position here at ScienceFiction.com, I have come to know more about this film for the benefit of both of us. I know that the young actress is the star of this adaptation of the first book in Veronica Roth’s series named Tris, who lives in a society where people are separated into five factions based on the qualities that they possess. However, Tris is divergent, meaning that she has traits from each group, and the people in charge aren’t necessarily cool with that. While that be the extent of my knowledge of this story since I have not read the books, fortunately Summit Entertainment has been releasing videos to get people like me more acquainted with their latest franchise.
In the latest featurette for the film that hits theaters later this month, the spotlight is shined on Four, the mysterious character played by Theo James that associates with the Dauntless faction, but appears to have a few secrets regarding that relationship. In this video, we get to know a little bit about Four and the actor who plays him as they delve into the shooting process, which involved James doing his own stunts. Go on and check out the featurette from Yahoo Movies below, followed by the synopsis for the film:
In a futuristic Chicago, people are divided into five distinct factions based on their personalities. Beatrice “Tris” Prior discovers that she is Divergent, meaning she does not fit into any one faction, and soon uncovers a sinister plot brewing in her seemingly perfect society.
Do you think that Theo James is a good fit for Four in ‘Divergent’? Are you impressed by the actor’s determination to do all of his own stunts? Let us know in the comment section.
