There’s no bigger day for commercials than Super Bowl Sunday. Every other day, these advertiser breaks interrupting your favorite show are a necessary evil, but on the highest holy days for American football, they’re just as anticipated as the big game itself. And with the event being held in the shadow of New York City at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, who better to make an appearance than one of the most famous inhabitants of the Big Apple? Move over, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, because Spider-Man is on his way!
It may cost millions of dollars to get a commercial during the Super Bowl, but Sony Pictures is making the most of it when it comes to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. The new picture from Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield as the friendly neighborhood web-slinger is meant to have not one but two game day exclusive trailers. However, one won’t air during the game. Yes, that’s a bit confusing, but either way, the studio has released part one of their Spidey spot online for all to see before the Seahawks and the Broncos face off on the gridiron. You can check out the video below:
There is a bit of new footage in this 40-second trailer, but a lot of it has been seen in past trailers and stills already. Despite that, this one does a good job at showing off all the action that we can expect in this upcoming summer blockbuster. And with the older stuff coming out in part one, you might imagine that the brand new material is being saved for part two.
