RUMOR ALERT: This is just a rumor so take it with the appropriate grain of salt.

Deadline reports that after Jon Snow wandered off into the wilderness at the end of ‘Game of Thrones’, he strolled right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Or at least he will.  Maybe.

While it was reported that Kit Harington will move from one major fandom to another by joining the Marvel film franchise, with everyone associated with everything Disney busy throwing together their massive D23 expo this weekend, no sources were available to confirm or elaborate on this chatter.

But speaking of D23, IF Harington (or anyone else for that matter) is joining the MCU, expect that news to be broken this weekend during the event.

‘Game of Thrones’ was Harington’s first onscreen professional acting work.  While he has made a few movies none have been high-profile projects, unless you count the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ films, in which he voices Eret.  So stepping into the MCU could be a great move, as it would place him in a big-budget franchise that is sure to be successful.

Now the guessing games can begin.  What film or TV series could he be joining?  (That’s taking for granted that it’s a project we already know about.)  ‘Black Widow’ is already filming and has been for a while, so everyone that was going to be cast for it, probably already has been.  ‘Eternals’ is set to begin filming soon, and it seems that the main cast is set.  That leaves ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ on the movie side of things.  It’s also possible he will debut on one of Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ shows– ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, ‘WandaVision’, ‘Loki’, and/or ‘Hawkeye’.

Or will Marvel announce some even newer projects post-Phase Four?  Hopefully, we’ll have more information this weekend!
