Stan Lee Avengers 4

While the world mourns at the loss of Stan “The Man” Lee, we can take small solace in the fact that this isn’t the end of the line for this legend. We’ll be seeing Lee make at least one final cameo in a Marvel film as he had already shot his scene for ‘Avengers 4’ back in the Spring of 2018. We’ve long heard that ‘Avengers 4’ will be the end of an era when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and if this was Lee’s last recorded performance it could be true in more ways than one.

The media mogul and Marvel Studios have been quiet as to which scenes Lee has filmed so this may not even be the last time we’ll see The Man. ‘Avengers 4’ is already poised to be an emotional roller coaster and potentially seeing Stan one final time will only add to that.

The Russo Brothers had shared earlier this year that the scene had been shot:

” He’s the godfather of a lot of these stories, him and Jack Kirby. …So, Stan, typically we try to get him out — he doesn’t love to fly — so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time. So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance, Ant-Man [and the Wasp] or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and get him through his cameos in one day.”

We know that while Lee was “ready to leave this Earth” that he was open to more time on screen as well if it worked out. Always the entertainer, it feels fitting that he’ll be able to bring us smiles at least one last time after his passing.
