The CW is just months away from its “Super Season” of DC Comics-inspired superhero shows! To keep fans excited about the event, the network has released a new sizzle reel featuring footage from the upcoming crossover!
The gang’s all here in the sizzle reel, with favorites like Black Lightning, White Canary, The Flash, Supergirl, and Green Arrow, joined by Black Canary, Vibe, The Atom, Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific and Black Siren.
The sizzle reel doesn’t give away any specific plot details about the returning shows, but it should hold fans over for now, as the CW recently announced the dates for the three-night “Super Season” crossover event. ‘The Flash’ will kick things off on Sunday, December 9, followed by ‘Arrow’ on Monday, December 10, with ‘Supergirl’ finishing things off on Tuesday, December 11.
In more exciting news, the CW also announced that Clark Kent/Superman will appear in the crossover event with Lois Lane. According to a source, Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as Superman in the three-night event. As for Lois Lane, it’s not clear yet who will play her or how she will fit into the overall story, but the network should make a decision on that sooner rather than later. ‘Supergirl’ executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner released in a statement, saying:
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse. This dogged, determined, and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and an amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”
