Time Travelin' Jerk

The team behind ‘Billy on the Street’ is working together again to make a time travel comedy animated series for FX– ‘Time Travelin’ Jerk,’ which is described as ‘Back to the Future’ meets ‘Groundhog Day’.  The series will be executive produced by Billy Eichner, Doug Brady and Anna Wenger, who also EPed ‘Billy on the Street’.  The concept originated with Brady who also came up with the basic story but will be written by all three.  ‘Time Travelin’ Jerk’ “tells the story of Ashley, a hilariously irreverent, whip-smart millennial girl, who gets stuck time traveling and absolutely hates it… but tries to make the most of it along the way. Eichner will not only have the role as Executive Producer but will also provide the voice of Parker, “an awkwardly sweet accountant who becomes Ashley’s time traveling partner in crime.”

Eichner recently worked with FX on last season’s ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ and played closeted homosexual beekeeper Harrison Wilton who falls under the sway of Kai Anderson’s (Evan Peters) cult, by murdering his boss.  He also appeared as Tex Watson, a real life member of Charles Manson’s cult. He has an undisclosed role in the upcoming eighth season of ‘AHS’ which will again air on FX.

His first claim to fame was for his hit game show ‘Billy on the Street’, created in conjunction with Funny Or Die, which was nominated for two Emmy Awards.  He was also seen on ‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘Difficult People’ and ‘Friends From College’.  In other voice work, he provides the voice of Mr. Ambrose on ‘Bob’s Burgers’, and was heard in ‘The Penguins of Madagascar’ and ‘The Angry Birds Movie’.  He will possibly have his biggest voice role yet, in Disney’s upcoming remake of ‘The Lion King’.  Eichner voices Timon.  He will appear in the upcoming Christmas movie ‘Noelle’ which also stars Anna Kendrick, Shirley MacLaine, and Bill Hader.

Since production on ‘Time Travelin’ Jerk’ has just begun, don’t expect to see it until 2019 at the earliest.  Check back for more updates!
