We learned a year ago that ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ was going to become a reality in an animated feature and now the inevitable limited cinematic release has been announced! Much like ‘Batman: The Killing Joke‘ and ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders‘ received one, the latest animated adventure of the Caped Crusader will as well!

We’ve seen Quinn work with Batman before, but in this outing, we’ll see them teaming up to stop both Poison Ivy and Floronic Man. Generally, Quinn and Ivy tend to be besties, so this will be fun to see the pair going at one another.

For those looking forward to marking down when they can check the movie out it will be on the big screen on Monday, August 14th, 2017 at 7:30 PM!

According to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family and Animation Marketing Mary Ellen Thomas:

“Fans of DC Universe Original Movies are a devoted legion, and never was that so evident than with the enthusiastic embracing of our ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Fathom Events presentation. Audiences nationwide turned the screenings into true interactive experiences, and we believe ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ will inspire a similar night of celebration.”

Just as the prior outings, the premiere will end up being at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

For those who missed it you can check out the trailer below:

Synopsis:

In Batman and Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. The Floronic Man) embark on an ecological quest to save the planet—and, unfortunately, eliminate most of humankind along the way. To save humanity, Batman and Nightwing are forced to enlist Harley Quinn to catch Poison Ivy, Harley’s BFF and frequent partner-in-crime. But Batman’s patience is put to the test by the unpredictable and untrustworthy Harley during the twists and turns the reluctant companions face during their bumpy road trip. The result is a thrill ride of action, adventure and comedy no Batman fan has seen before.

This seems to be another sure-fire smash success for DC who until ‘Wonder Woman’ has only been able to have a hit with all of their fans in animated form. ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ seems to be no different, and hopefully, if this continues we’ll have extensions to the limited runs which last for more than a single day on the big screen.

For those who are interested in attending you can see where Fathom Events will be showing it right here on June 30th.
