We all know that letting the cat out of the bag early on upcoming Marvel Studios films is a big no no but it looks as if Josh Brolin who plays Thanos in the film may have accidentally let one slip and it’s a good one! Benicio Del Toro will be reprising his role as The Collector in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’

As one of the main players who has been trying to gather the Infinity Gems in the films so far, it really wouldn’t be a surprise to see him back in action by any stretch of the imagination though this is the first time an even partial confirmation has dropped that he would be making an appearance.

It looks like Brolin had posted then removed an Instagram video where he was talking about scenes he would be shooting for ‘Infinity War’ where Thanos would be on screen with Star-Lord, Gamora, and The Collector. This isn’t at all surprising that he would make an appearance as at the end of ‘Thor: The Dark World’ he did end up with Aether or The Reality Stone which Thanos will need in order to complete the Infinity Gauntlet.

At this time we’ve heard that Thanos won’t be popping up in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’ as a tie-in to the movie but director James Gunn hasn’t been saying if The Collector would at this time either. While not the goal of the movie, some kind of an ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ lead in would be expected in the film or one of the closing credits cut scenes which could be Del Toro’s character calling in some help.

Are you happy to hear confirmation that The Collector would be returning for the film or did you think that Thanos would end up with The Reality Stone without confronting him? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
