SPOILER ALERT: This new ‘The Walking Dead’ trailer features several MAJOR clips from the new season, so proceed with caution!

At ‘The Walking Dead’ panel at SDCC, which featured Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Steven Yeun (Glen), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Ross Marquand (Aaron), and Christian Serratos (Rosita), and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman (creator of the source comic), Greg Nicotero, Scott M. Gimple (who also serves as showrunner) and Dave Alpert, AMC unveiled a new trailer for the highly anticipated seventh season of their monster hit ‘The Walking Dead’.

In case you forgot, season six ended with Big Bad Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) playing “Eenie-meenie-miny-moe” to decide which of the major cast to beat to death with Lucille, his barb wire-wrapped baseball bat.

The new clip gives you a tense refresher while looking back at some of the crucial moments from past seasons.  Then the trailer cuts loose with loads of new footage from upcoming episodes.  Of course a lot of it doesn’t really make sense without context, but comic book fans should squeal with delight at two major introductions.

Watch the clip below:

Not only were fans at SDCC (and now you) delighted by the introduction of The Kingdom, which was teased in the last season, but actual footage of Ezekiel (I don’t know who plays him, but check back) AND Shiva the tiger!  Now considering that this is a plot from the comics, this was entirely expected but it is still AMAZING to actually see brought to life in live action!  (Although Shiva is apparently entirely animatronics and CGI.)

‘The Walking Dead’ returns in October, but AMC revealed that a behind-the-scenes Season 7 preview special will air on August 14.  In addition, on October 16, the network will air ‘The Walking Dead Recap Special’ which will help refresh your memories as to the events that led up to the current situation.

Check back for updates as the new season draws closer!
