Assassins-Creed-Bleeding-Effect (1)

Step aside ‘Warcraft,’ there’s a new movie based on a video game on its way to theaters, and this one hopefully will not be nearly as disappointing. For a while now we have heard about Michael Fassbender’s role in the new film, and the trailer released not too far back revealed that he would be playing an original character named Callum Lynch. For those not in the know, the opposing forces in the film are the assassins who, according to Fassbender, fight for freewill, and the templars, who according to the actor, “are trying to enhance human kind through science.” The movie hinges on the idea (same as the game) that a new technology can allow one’s mind to travel back to their past lives and relive their experiences, thus adding those memories and skills to their present self, all things seen in the trailer and in the new promo for the movie released during E3 this week.

The new promo shows a lot of action that does not look half bad, as well as lot of information from Fassebender and the director, Justin Kurzel (‘Macbeth’), about their vision for the film, and the desire to make everything as big and cinematic as possible. Check out the promo for yourself and then share your thoughts on the project in the comments section below!

Synopsis below:

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
