Last week Netflix dropped Part 1 of the Season 2 trailer for ‘Daredevil’ which featured heavily on Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. This time in Part 2, the focus in on Elektra and she has definitely come to Hell’s Kitchen with a mission.
We got a brief glimpse of the assassin in action in a short teaser yesterday, but here, we get more of her role as to why she’s come back into Matt’s life. It looks like Daredevil didn’t quite do as good as a job as he thought when he dealt with the Yakuza last season as they have been waiting as he eradicated their enemies and are now ready to rise up again – more specifically the organization called The Hand, a group of ninja warriors ready to take control.
With the Punisher on one side, Elektra back into his life, and the knowledge he may not be doing enough to help clean up Hell’s Kitchen, the trailer also shows more of the conflict Matt has to deal and the question he has to ask himself: how close is he willing to get to that line before crossing it? And as he questions himself, it seems that it will cause a rift between those close to him, mainly Froggy and Karen.
Season 2 definitely looks to have upped their game (btw, did you notice the change in Daredevil’s suit? Those red eyes!) Check out the trailer below and come back to ScienceFiction.com as we’ll be recapping the series when it returns on Netflix next month!
