SPOILER WARNING/RUMOR ALERT: This article contains some potential SPOILERS for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, so proceed with caution.
Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett has been associated with 2017’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ which will feature the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s mightiest heroes, Thor and the Hulk , on a cosmic road trip, during the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Blanchett’s role in the film has not been disclosed, but there have been rumblings that she would be playing a villainous role. Many have been wondering if that meant that she would be playing Amora the Enchantress or Hela, Queen of the Underworld.
Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk himself recently spilled that Blanchett was indeed up for an antagonistic role.
“I saw her at the Governor’s banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, ‘Please, please, please make this work!’ She’s just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting.”
That alone doesn’t peg Blanchett as Hela, but further news about the third ‘Thor’ movie seems to point to that. According to a source, Hela will team with fan-favorite Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in the film, to enact an elaborate scheme. Hela’s machinations set into motion the “road trip” upon which this film is based and…
