To promote their upcoming film (and potentially quell potential rumors of their lack of faith in the project), 20th Century Fox has recently sent Rotten Tomatoes 4 videos in which the four main cast members speak about and introduce the characters they will be playing in Josh Trank’s upcoming ‘Fantastic Four‘ reboot. It seems fairly clear that these were somewhat hastily put together, as each has identical footage/music playing for about 80% of the video, with the only changes being the card with the name of the character and the specific interview questions with the actor playing that character. Still, we do get to see some of the film, and it continues to impress as least visually speaking, though that might not be enough to save this latest version of Marvel’s once favorite family.

As for what each actor says about their character, I will start with Miles Teller (‘Whiplash’) who claims he really enjoys the hyper-intelligence of his character, Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and seems to be intrigued by his elasticity. Kate Mara (‘House of Cards’) seems concerned that people see that Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman) is “still very much human” despite her invisibility and force-field abilities. Michael B. Jordan (‘Chronicle’) speaks about Johnny Storm’s adrenaline addict personality, walking a fine line and sometime peering over it, even before he becomes the Human Torch. And finally, Jaime Bell (‘Turn’) talks about Ben Grimm (The Thing’) and how he starts off as a typical American teenager looking after his friend Reed Richards, who transforms completely into a rock-like creature that can barely be recognized as human.
