May 1st is drawing closer every day and on that day, we will be living on an Avengers World once again thanks to the release of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ Joss Whedon assembles Earth’s Mightiest Heroes once again to take on a threat unlike any other in the form of a maniacal machine played by James Spader. In preparation for the upcoming Phase Two release, we’ve recently seen a plethora of posters featuring the cast of Marvel Studios’ next big blockbuster, but now we have a new TV spot that’s made almost entirely of previously unseen footage.
Earlier today, the official Avengers Twitter account shared the brand new commercial in response to all the March Madness hype consuming basketball fans right now. After declaring that their team is the #1 seed, the post featured a video jam-packed with humor, action, and all sorts of new goodies like Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver speaking for the first time. You can check out the spot below, followed by the official synopsis for the film:
Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
I don’t even know where to begin. From Tony Stark’s usual brand of snark to Captain America nonchalantly throwing a motorcycle to Thor’s “It’s all in the swing” line, there is just so much to be excited about when it comes to the latest bit of promotional material for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ Also, now that we know that Quicksilver speaks with an accent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I wonder if Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will follow suit. I mean, they’re twins from Eastern Europe, so it wouldn’t be that surprising if they both spoke with accents. I don’t recall Olsen utilizing that tool from her acting arsenal before, but I am curious to hear her character speak for the first time now after hearing her onscreen brother.
What do you think about the latest TV spot for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’? What do you think about Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s accent? Are you able to contain your overall excitement until May? Let us know in the comments.
