As Russia and Ukraine continue their peace talks in Milan, something once taking place in a galaxy far away is occurring within the Ukraine as parliamentary elections approach on October 26. Darth Vader is aiming to take control.

We reported back in April that Darth Vader announced his presidential candidacy, representing the Ukrainian Internet Party. The former Jedi actually won the primary election and paid the pretty hefty fees to be listed on the ballot via funding from the Internet Party.

Now as citizens head off to the polls to vote for new deputies for Ukraine’s parliament (known as Verkhovna Rada), the Internet Party is once again showing their support for Darth Vader in a new campaign video.

In the ad, Vader strums his leitmotif perched in front of a tree with a horse in the background.

There have been a ton of ‘Stars Wars’-based videos out there. While there is merit in fan films, parodies, creative reedits, and what not, I’m not sure if anything compares to a tranquil Darth Vader sitting in front of a tree, strumming an acoustic version of ‘The Imperial March’ with a horse in the background.

However, Darth Vader isn’t the only candidate to be listed on the ballot. Also running are Master Volodymyrovych Yoda, Emperor Viktorovych Palpatine, Master V. Yoda, and Padme N. Amidala.

If only our elections were as amusing…
