The buzz for the Oscars is beginning and while the nominees have yet to be announced, a huge contender for Best Actor is Eddie Redmayne in the film ‘The Theory of Everything’ and today we have a trailer from the film to show you why!

‘The Theory of Everything’ follows the extraordinary life of famed astrophysicist Stephen Hawking who is played by Redmayne. Based on the memoirs of Hawking’s wife, Jane Wilde Hawking, the film chronicles the period of time when Jane met her future husband in Cambridge and the years following. From Hawking’s diagnosis with ALS to his rise in the world of science, ‘The Theory of Everything’ shows how the couple together defied the odds with hope, love and science.

What strikes as really extraordinary is Redmayne’s transformation as Hawking from a vibrant young college student to the man who has become a modern day icon. The trailer leaves no doubt as to why many have already thrown Redmayne’s name into the Oscar ring.

While the film does chart Hawking’s career, the heart of the film is the hope and love between him and his wife. After all, as the trailer says, “Where there is life, there is hope.”
