Before you get your hopes up for a substantial look at the upcoming Bryan Singer superhero epic ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, I have to warn you that while Fox has indeed released brand new footage from the film, it was put out on Instagram, so that means there’s only seven seconds worth to feast your eyes on. In this day and age where we get teasers of teasers on social media, this is fairly commonplace (and sometimes very annoying), but it forces studios and filmmakers to get extra creative and somehow pack something extremely exciting into a tiny package, which is something that the social network savvy ‘X-Men’ director has been very good at doing.
In the latest post from the xmenmovies Instagram account, we get to see some our heroes from both incarnations of the team as they fight to save mutantkind. Despite the incredibly short run time of this sneak peek, we get to see the likes of Charles Xavier, Warpath, Wolverine, Bishop, Colossus, and the lovely Mystique, as well as a very familiar hallway. If you blinked at all during that, then you probably missed something really good. For instance, it might have been the third watch for me when I realized that Omar Sy was even in the video. Although, one thing that was very hard to miss was the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence. The 70s certainly look good on her as we’ve seen in ‘American Hustle’, so it’ll be nice to see it again here.
