Comic Book Preview: ‘Star Wars’ #2

After an excellent first outing into the classic ‘Star Wars’ universe, the new book from writer Brian Wood and artists Carlos d’Anda & Gabe Eltaeb has certainly been regarded as a hit. Featuring iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Darth Vader, ‘Star Wars’ #1 is right up the alley of any long-time fan of George Lucas’ galaxy far, far away.

The next issue doesn’t hit stands until February, but thanks to Entertainment Weekly, the impatient reader can have a sneak peek of what’s to come in the next issue. In issue one, we saw Han Solo and his faithful companion Chewbacca prepping the Millennium Falcon for a mission. In this preview, check out who’s hot on his tail in a ship called ‘Slave I’ in issue two:

That’s right! Boba Fett is joining the party in the next issue of this Dark Horse series that managed to sell out in 24 hours. Here’s a synopsis for the whole issue:

A cagey young Imperial officer seems to anticipate the Rebels’ every move, so Princess Leia forms a “stealth squadron”—including Luke Skywalker—to expose a suspected spy within their ranks. Meanwhile, Han Solo and Chewbacca run afoul of bounty hunter Boba Fett, and the Emperor sends Darth Vader on a secret mission! Stars Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader!
