Fairytale reimaginings are still pretty popular and Jeremy Renner’s stock in Hollywood has gone up considerably since his roles in ‘The Avengers‘, ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’, and ‘The Bourne Legacy’, so it was pretty smart of Paramount to hold off on releasing ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ from it’s original March 2, 2012 release date. However, I’m not sure that pushing it to January and making it rated R was the best choice. (I would’ve released it right around now.) Regardless, we’ll be seeing the film about 3 months and advertising has begun.

Thanks to Comic Book Movie, you can check out the new red band trailer for the 3D & IMAX 3D tale about the two siblings who went from being nearly eaten by a witch in a gingerbread house to being globe trotting, witch hunting bounty hunters. After the trailer, you can also check out the new poster for the film.

Also starring Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen, and Thomas Mann, ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ will hit theaters on January 25th, 2013.
