The new movie from the Wachowski Siblings and Tom Tykwer, ‘Cloud Atlas’ is very hard to describe. Even the directors themselves have a hard time explaining it. In an attempt to give the audience a better idea of what’s to come, the filmmakers created an epic 6-minute long trailer, but still there’s a whole lot to process. And since no moviegoer is going to sit through a 6-minute trailer, the studio has released a conventional theatrical trailer.

Thanks to /Film, you can watch the new trailer for the adaptation of David Mitchell’s best-selling novel below:

If you’re still a bit confused as to what ‘Cloud Atlas’ is about, here’s the official synopsis:

‘Cloud Atlas’ is an epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution.

Despite the difficulty in explaining what it’s about, I’m very intrigued by this movie and am very much looking forward to seeing it.

Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Susan Sarandon, Jim Sturgess, Hugh Grant, Ben Wishaw, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, and James D’Arcy, ‘Cloud Atlas’ will be released in theaters on October 26th.
