‘Iron Man 3’ has been  in production for the last 2 months and while the bulk of  the filming has already been completed, that doesn’t mean there still can’t casting news to be had.

CBM has revealed that Dale Dickey has a role in ‘Iron Man 3‘. Beyond that news, not much is known about what the role entails other than she plays a character called Mrs. Davis. Dickey, herself, gave no hints as in a blog she wrote of the role:

“I’m filming now. That’s it. They asked my agent not to put anything in the trades when I was cast over a month ago, so they are trying to keep as much mystery as possible.”

Dickey is a familiar face to fans of the NBC series ‘My Name is Earl’ as she played the role of Patty throughout its 4 year run. She’s also won the 2010 Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female for her role in the Academy Award nominated film ‘Winter Bone.’ Currently, Dickie can be seen playing the role of Martha Bozeman in the hit HBO supernatural series ‘True Blood.’

While no details of the plot has been released, ‘Iron Man 3’ has so far been described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms & terror.” This motif seems fitting considering the teaser video for the logo has a militaristic feel to it. (Yes, not only are there teasers for teaser trailers but the studios are now releasing teasers for their movies’ logos!)

Hopefully a trailer will soon be released for ‘Iron Man 3’ but until that comes out, it looks like we’ll just have to be satisfied with seeing the logo video courtesy of Trailer Addict.
