‘Falling Skies’ Book Sells Out!

Falling Skies Graphic NovelIf you read either of Christine’s two previous articles about Falling Skies, you know the focus of the story is on Tom Mason a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed in the initial attack, and one of his three sons has been captured (if you didn’t read her articles, why not? And you can find them HERE and HERE).

Dark Horse Comics began working with TNT a little under a year ago, publishing a free webcomic prequel to the television series. In the heart of Boston, following the devastating events of an alien invasion, Mason and his sons meet up with the Second Mass, a militia group determined to wipe out the aliens. But with the militia’s supplies running low, Tom must locate an old friend to equip him and his team in order to ensure the survival of the human race.

With the highly anticipated launch of the TNT television show ’Falling Skies’, the Falling Skies prequel graphic novel has completely sold out! If you haven’t been checking the issues out, you won’t be behind when the show starts. However, if you have been reading along about the adventures of the 2ndMass as they fight the alien invaders you have been treated to some great storytelling and pretty cool artwork. The creative team of Paul Tobin and Juan Ferreyra should be very pleased with the prequel they have created. Of the companion web comics that have started popping up with all of these genre shows, ‘Falling Skies’ is one of the best and is a must read.

‘Falling Skies’ is from DreamWorks Television and stars Noah Wyle. Watch for the TNT original series debuting on Sunday, June 19!

Bryan, P surprised me with this in the mail a couple days ago as I shared with you on Twitter. I couldn’t put it down…perhaps I’m a little biased because I LOVE the show so much, but I really enjoyed it. I think your assessment was spot on with this one. :-)
