Director Matt Reeves has announced another cast member for ‘The Batman’, and it’s award-winning character actor John Turturro, who will portray crime boss Carmine Falcone.  This is the first time it has been announced that Falcone will appear in this movie, as it was previously believed that the film would feature a bevy of more colorful supervillains.  But fittingly, Falcone made his debut in Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s ‘Batman: Year One’ comic book (1987), and it is known that ‘The Batman’ is set in the early days the Caped Crusader’s crimefighting career.

‘The Batman’ stars Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as The Riddler/Edward Nashton, Jeffery Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and newcomer Jayme Lawson as an original creation, Bella, who is described as “a grassroots political candidate running for office in Gotham.”  Colin Farrell was reported to be in talks to portray The Penguin.

There had previously been talk that Firefly, The Mad Hatter, and Two-Face would also make appearances, as well as Robin, Dick Grayson.

Stay tuned for more Bat-casting as it becomes available.
