Director Matt Reeves has announced another cast member for ‘The Batman’, and it’s award-winning character actor John Turturro, who will portray crime boss Carmine Falcone. This is the first time it has been announced that Falcone will appear in this movie, as it was previously believed that the film would feature a bevy of more colorful supervillains. But fittingly, Falcone made his debut in Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s ‘Batman: Year One’ comic book (1987), and it is known that ‘The Batman’ is set in the early days the Caped Crusader’s crimefighting career.
This character previously appeared in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, as portrayed by Tom Wilkinson. More recently, John Doman portrayed Falcone on ‘Gotham’.

Among his other credits are ‘The Color of Money’, ‘Do the Right Thing’, ‘Miller’s Crossing’, ‘Barton Fink’, ‘Quiz Show’, and ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’. He can currently be heard on the Netflix animated series ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ as the voice of Goat.
