The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance

If it easy to be excited for ‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ even if you hadn’t seen the 1982 classic by Jim Henson and the latest featurette shows you exactly how excited the cast and crew are for the series as well! While there is an extensive set of actors attached to the project, this featurette only has time to share why Executive Producer Lisa Henson (‘Dinosaur Train’) as well as actors Natalie Dormer (‘Game of Thrones’), Taron Egerton (‘Kingsman’), Jason Isaacs (‘Star Trek: Discovery’), and Simon Pegg (‘Star Trek’) are eager for the prequel series to be released.

Netflix shares this description of the:

“It’s time to return to Thra. Watch the cast and creators discuss returning to Jim Henson’s creation almost 40 years later and getting the chance to expand and enrich this already beloved world.”

It is hard to imagine that ‘The Dark Crystal’ is so old at this point. Directed by Henson and Frank Oz, it was a masterpiece ahead of its time. While some may argue that the special effects don’t all hold up to today’s standards, they were still quite advanced and helped to tell a fantastic story.
