Fans of the God of Mischief can’t wait for Tom Hiddleston to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Disney+‘s ‘Loki‘ and now the actor is dropping what he feels is “exciting” about the part.
Not much is known about the upcoming series, but we do know that it will follow the Loki who managed to get away in ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ which means that this is the Trickster God who has not yet redeemed himself. We’re not getting the noble Loki Odinson who sacrificed himself at the outset of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ but instead we’ll see the one who took over Asgard in ‘Thor: The Dark World.’
While Hiddleston was out promoting his upcoming Broadway debut in ‘Betrayal,’ he was asked about the new series:
“It’s very, very exciting because in many ways it’s the character you know, but in a context, you’ve never seen him in before. And if I say any more, I’m gonna say too much. So that’s what’s so thrilling — there’s so much to explore that I haven’t yet explored. That’s very exciting.”
As Hiddleston revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, “Just about the last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk-smashed. So there’s a lot of psychological evolution that is still yet to happen,” and he hasn’t made up with his brother as was seen in ‘Thor: Ragnarok.’
Hopefully, this means that we might still be seeing Loki find a way to return to the MCU films even if it isn’t the version that Thor might be thrilled to see.
