Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Far From Home

While it is easy to see ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ as the final chapter in what Marvel Studios has dubbed as the “Infinity Saga” the actual endcap is said to come in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home.’ This has been stated before by Joe Russo, but Kevin Feige has now reiterated that we’ll see this next outing with Spider-Man be the wrap up for the story that the franchise has been telling so far. From what we know about the movie, my guess is that this installment will work as an epilogue after the events which we’ve seen.

My reasoning for this is pretty straightforward. Throughout the interactions between Tony Stark and Peter Parker, we’ve seen how the world of superheroes has directly affected a young hero and the world. Now, with Iron Man gone, it will not only be up to Spidey to fill that void, but he will experience first hand a world which has moved on as Parker was one of those who had been snapped away by Thanos.

According to Feige:

“The relationship between Peter Parker and Tony Stark is so special over the five films that Tom Holland has portrayed Spider-Man in the MCU, that we needed to see where his journey went, and see how does Spider-Man step out of the shadow of his mentor, Tony Stark, and become the true hero that he was always meant to be. And it’s for that reason that Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home are essentially two pieces of the same story, and it’s not over yet until Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

We’ll see what the world is like now that half of the population has been gone for five years as well as how everyone is reacting without Iron Man.
