The Trailer For Strange Angel Season 2 Promises 100% More Occult Blood Orgies!

A new trailer has arrived for CBS All Access’ drama ‘Strange Angel’ based on the bizarre life of pioneering real-life rocket scientist Jack Parsons.  In addition to helping America advance technologically during World War II, he was also a member of the fringe cult Thelema.  If you found Season 1 a little too heavy on the rockets and too light on the crazy cult activity, you’re in luck as the new trailer indicates that Season 2 with have 100% more occult blood orgies!

The series was created by Mark Heyman, based on the biography ‘Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons’ by George Pendle, and was originally developed for AMC, who backed out very late into the process after scripts had been completed.  Fortunately, CBS All Access snapped it up, placing a full series order.

Jack Reynor stars as Parsons, with Bella Heathcote as his wife Susan, plus Rupert Friend, and Peter Mark Kendall. Season 2 adds Angus Macfadyen as Aleister Crowley, the British author who founded the religion of Thelema, which prioritized interacting with the world with “love” and using one’s will to achieve whatever one wanted.  The practice included, among other things, “sex magic” (occult blood orgies).

At the end of Season 1, Parsons and his team at Caltech made a breakthrough, securing the support of the US military.  Season 2 picks up after the start of World War II, with Parsons reaping the rewards of supplying his scientific know-how to the military while drawing him further into that world.

But in his private life, Parsons and his wife Susan plunge deeper into the world of Crowley and Thelema, opening their new manor to the cult, and… did I mention “occult blood orgies” yet?
