'Archer' Goes Full Sci-Fi For The Tenth Season Titled 'Archer: 1999'

When you think of the animated series ‘Archer’ science fiction might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but the series is set to dive deep into the genre for the upcoming tenth season which is going by ‘Archer: 1999.’ The reason this is happening stems from ‘Archer: Dreamland,’ when we had a season that took place in Archer’s mind from being in a coma. Now, the series continues on in his mind giving us a rich world of new stories with the upcoming season having Archer and his friends on a spaceship and dealing with aliens.

This likely isn’t what fans from the first season ever thought would happen to the show, but it all makes sense for those who have been watching over the years.

The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the hard-drinking Captain, “Sterling Archer;” Aisha Tyler as Archer’s Co-Captain and short-tempered ex-wife, “Lana Kane;”Jessica Walter as Archer’s mother and ball of energy, “Malory Archer;” Judy Greer as the eagle-eye fighter pilot, “Cheryl/Carol Tunt;” Chris Parnell as the attention-seeking First Mate, “Cyril Figgis;” Amber Nash as the crew’s rock monster muscle, “Pam Poovey;” Adam Reed as the out-of-place-in-space courtesan, “Ray Gillette;” and Lucky Yates as the synthetic human with questionable morals, “Algernop Krieger.”
