The final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ will have everyone in the Seven Kingdoms preparing for battle. While many of the characters have already faced intense battle scenes, dressed head to toe in armor, one among them has sat out for most of the action. Until now!
The Lady of Winterfell, Sansa Stark, will face Army of the Dead in a brand-new costume. In a recent interview, actress Sophie Turner said:
“This is the first time I’ve had armor. We [had] the idea of it being very protective and she buttons herself up. I wanted her to have a bit of armor and be a bit more warrior like. She’s like the warrior of Winterfell.”
Her new costume has yet not been revealed by any of the photos or footage, which feature Sansa greeting her brother Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and offering a less than enthusiastic greeting to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
Out of any character in the series, Sansa’s look has changed the most dramatically. From her clothes to her hair, the unlucky sister from House Stark has changed her look to suit the situation in which she found herself. When we first met Sansa, she wore a drab Northern costume that mirrored her mother and sister.
Sansa then moved to King’s Landing and started to dress in the style of capitol royalty, like her mother-in-law to be, Cersei.
After making her escape with Littlefinger, she made her own costume and went dark for the first time. This look resonated with many fans, as Sansa seemed to be coming into her own for the first time.
Sansa looked like her season 1 self while married to Ramsay Bolton at Winterfell.
Then she morphed into the bad bitch we know today when she escaped and reunited with Jon.
‘Game of Thrones’ will air its final season on April 14th on HBO.
