Tom Holland Avengers: Endgame

Tom Holland’s Spidey Senses definitely weren’t tingling when he seemingly let an ‘Avengers: Endgame’ spoiler slip during a press event for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ last year.

Holland was appearing with ‘Doctor Strange’ star Benedict Cumberbatch, and when the two were asked which one messed up the most lines, Cumberbatch named himself. Holland was quick to come to his defense, saying:

“He has the most difficult lines, though. He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm… stuff. I just have to talk about, ‘Yeah man, that’s awesome!’ So mine’s easy, but his is all so difficult [laughs].”

Umm. Whoops! You can watch it below (spoiler starts at the 5:30 mark):

Doctor Strange and Spider-Man both bit the dust, pun absolutely intended, during ‘Infinity War’ when Thanos (Josh Brolin) obtained each Infinity Stone and snapped half of the universe into oblivion. But, as fans may remember, the Quantum Realm was not mentioned in ‘Infinity War.’

The Quantum Realm was introduced in ‘Ant-Man,’ and fans suspect that it will play a key role in the Avengers’ efforts to undo the damage done by Thanos. Was Holland confused by the question and referring to Cumberbatch’s lines in the upcoming ‘Endgame?’ Maybe.

Michael Douglas, who plays Hank Pym in the ‘Ant-Man’ franchise, spoke about the connection between the Quantum Realm and the Avengers, saying it is “absolutely true” that ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ is directly connected to ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Douglas said:

“I mean, all of them — I mean, the Quantum Realm, that’s the key. That’s the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.”

Hopefully, all will be revealed when ‘Avengers: Endgame’ premieres in theaters on April 26!
