The titles for both ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ have had huge hypes around them and the still unannounced title of ‘Star Wars: Episode IX‘ is the same way. The ninth and final entree into The Skywalker Saga for the “Star Wars” franchise is shrouded in mystery as J.J. Abrams has to put an endcap to the first trilogy of films which have been released through Disney ownership. Thanks to Mark Allen, an anchor of Morning Blend it sounds like we’ll be finding out at least the name of the movie soon.
This detail comes from ABC 10 in Sacramento where it was shared that after Allen’s trip to Pinewood Studios that the title will be revealed on one of the most significant dates when it comes to these stories set in a galaxy far, far away.
If this proves true, on 5/4 we’ll learn the title of ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ and at that point, can argue for months about what it means for the final film in this set of stories.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that May the 4th would be a day that we find out some sort of “Star Wars” news and a title drop of what will be one of the biggest films of the year seems like a good of a release as any. Of course, having to wait that long to find out the movie’s name may irk some fans, especially with Star Wars Celebration taking place in Chicago this April.
Either way, with the film having wrapped we should slowly start to see some details trickle out soon.
Are you excited that we’ll finally be learning the title of ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’? Do you feel that we’ll learn it at Star Wars Celebration, before it, or on May the 4th as indicated above? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
