The cast of Netflix’s ‘Locke & Key’ have gathered for table readings, and to celebrate the occasion, Darby Stanchfield, who plays matriarch Nina Locke posted the first family photo of the Locke family. The series follows the exploits of Nina and her three children, Tyler (played by Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones), and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott), who leave their home in California, following the death of Nina’s husband and the kids’ father Rendell (Bill Heck). Nina and the kids move into Rendell’s family estate, Locke House, in Massachusetts, where the kids discover a set of magical keys which makes them the target for demonic forces.
The photo depicts Heck, Stanchfield, Jones, Jessup, and Scott looking much happier and more content than they will be on the show once it premieres. Check it out below:

Heck was last seen in Joel and Ethan Coen’s ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’, available on Netflix. Stanchfield is best known for playing Abby Whelan for seven seasons on ABC’s ‘Scandal’. Jones had roles on the British TV series ‘Utopia’ and ‘House of Anubis’. Jessup played Coy Henson on ‘American Crime’ and Ben Mason on ‘Falling Skies’, while Scott is best known for playing Georgie Denbrough in ‘It: Chapter One’.
‘Locke & Key’ also stars Kevin Alves, Thomas Mitchell Barnet, Asha Bromfield, Laysla de Oliveira, Griffin Gluck, Petrice Jones, Sherri Saum, Kolton Stewart, and Steven Williams.
The series is based on the IDW comic book series of the same name, created by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. Carlton Cuse serves as producer and showrunner. The first season will consist of ten episodes. A pilot was shot for Hulu, but that service passed. Netflix ordered ‘Locke & Key’ straight-to-series, but recast the entire show, only keeping Scott from the first cast.
Production should begin soon, which means that ‘Locke & Key’ could be available before the end of the year.
