Kit Harington

Filming a TV show can’t be an easy task. Especially one like ‘Game of Thrones,’ where the actors are put through the emotional ringer almost weekly! ‘Game of Thrones’ star Kit Harington has opened up about just how tired he was after filming the final season of the series.

In a new interview, the actor, who portrays Jon Snow on the show, revealed details from the final stretch of performances that will be seen in season 8. Speaking about how the cast members were dealing with the process, Harington said:

“Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending, or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring. We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, ‘Right, I’m fucking sick of this.”

Harington also admitted to having mixed emotions about the last days of filming, saying:

“I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, ‘I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day — but I’m done.’”

This is no surprise, as it has been reported that filming for just one battle scene from Season 8 took 55 consecutive nights. That, coupled with reported weather conditions that were less than ideal could make for some tired talent!

The battle scene in question was shot by Miguel Sapochnik who directed the episode ‘Battle of the Bastards.’ If his track record is to be repeated, the scene will likely leave fans watching at home breathless, as well as the people actually bringing it to life!

Season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ will premiere sometime in April on HBO. Stay tuned for more ‘Game of Thrones’ news as it becomes available!
