It isn’t a Marvel Studios release these days without a comic tie-in, and Marvel Comics has just announced that ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ is getting a two-issue introduction titled ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home Prelude’! These comics have been a mixture of retelling the events of the previous film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as slipping in a few canon nuggets of information that may or may not hint at what is to come. This new book is being penned by Will Corona Pilgrim with artwork being tackled by Luca Maresca.

For those of you wondering what to expect from the first issue, here is the synopsis:

DOES WHATEVER A SPIDER CAN!
PETER PARKER has already fought with the AVENGERS, but now he faces his biggest challenge: HIGH SCHOOL! Having the proportionate strength and agility of a spider doesn’t help Peter fit in, but when a piece of alien CHITAURI technology falls into the wrong hands, his abilities just may be the only thing standing between New York City and annihilation! Well, that and the expert tutelage of one TONY STARK, A.K.A. IRON MAN! Get ready for this summer’s SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME with this adaptation of the smash-hit SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING!

This 32-page comic will run you $3.99 and will be released in March of 2019. I’m not expecting that we’ll be getting much more in the way of new material throughout this book. I suspect, if anything, we’ll be learning more of what happened to the villains in the story and possibly some groundwork laid for the tech that Vulture sold to another villain which could be introduced down the line.

Are you looking forward to another tie-in comic to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Do you think that ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home Prelude’ will give us any solid details of what to expect in the upcoming film or new pieces of information for the franchise?
