American Horror Story

The “Murder House” and “Coven” crossover that is ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ will be in full swing next week as we finally see Jessica Lange, Connie Britton, and Dylan McDermott returning to the series. To celebrate the occasion, showrunner Ryan Murphy has crafted an extended episode which has a runtime of an hour and eighteen minutes with fifty-five minutes and 1 second of that actually being dedicated to the episode. It is called “Return to Murder House” and promises to give us some fan-favorite returns. Everyone who has missed Lange on the series is likely already set to sit in front of their televisions as soon as they can once it is on air.

For those who aren’t keeping track, and let’s face it that is most of us, a typical episode without commercials being factored in runs 40-42 minutes so on the low end this is an extra 13-minutes of footage. The crossover is finally slated to happen as some of our fan-favorite characters from multiple seasons are going to be interacting with one another at long last. It remains to be seen if any of the actors who are working double duty will be recognized from their other parts in the show which could make for a fun meta moment.

Whose to say that their characters don’t look the same?

We know that Sarah Paulson is slated to direct the episode which will see Britton, McDermott, and Taissa Farmiga back as the family from “Murder House.” On top of this will be Lange and Evan Peters who are slated to play Constance and Tate Langdon.

Are you thrilled to finally see the crossover between “Murder House” and “Coven” happening on ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’? Will any of the characters end up looking the same and causing confusion to those in the series? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ returns this Wednesday at 10/9c on FX for the crossover we’ve all been dying to see!
