Disney and LucasFilm are bringing back this beloved franchise to the masses! At what was billed as a 10th Anniversary panel for ‘The Clone Wars’ we saw creative Dave Filoni take the stage along with Athena Portillo, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, and composer Kevin Kiner to share this amazing news!

The show is scheduled to have 12 all-new episodes that will debut on Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming service and not only has the announcement been made but they’ve shared both a trailer and poster for the series as well!

While ‘Star Wars Rebels‘ and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ both helped flesh out the world which was left behind when the series was cancelled in 2013 after six seasons there are still a ton of stories left to tell.

You’ll also want to check out the new teaser poster for the show right here!

It isn’t clear at this time if this is meant to be a bookend to the series which “Star Wars” fans have fallen in love with or if it may open things up to continue for a few more seasons.

Either way, we’re thrilled that ‘Star Wars Resistance‘ isn’t the only series that Lucasfilm and Disney have in development.
