The hype continues to grow for Disney and Lucasfilm’s newest animated offering, ‘Star Wars: Resistance,’ with the latest being the release of a brand new poster, which was first revealed on Disney Channel’s Twitter account (which you can check out for yourself below). The poster itself features 4 of the main characters being led by Kazuda “Kaz” Xiono (Christopher Sean), the young pilot hero of the series who is sent to the Collossus station by Poe Dameron to spy on the First Order. BB-8 is also featured on the poster(who may or may not be a regular on the show), along with 5 resistance fighter ships flying across the top of the poster, which are supposedly brand new vessels to the franchise not previously seen in any other series or movie.

Reactions to the new series have been mixed thus far, with a lot of fans being somewhat luke-warm to the new “anime-inspired” art style, complaining especially about the lack of details and expressions on characters faces, but they seem to be forgetting that the bright colors and experimental animation are meant to be more for the younger fans the series is geared toward, not to mention the fact that ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars‘ and ‘Star Wars: Rebels‘ also faced similar skepticism from fans when they premiered, only to win over the fans eventually due to the quality of their content. Plus, the show has the excitement of being set in a brand-new era of the franchise, right before ‘The Force Awakens,’ and could feature cameos from any number of classic characters (we already know General Leia will make appearances), so I know I will be tuning in.
