Alien Abductee

Major newspaper, The Miami Herald, has endorsed a self-proclaimed alien abductee House Representatives hopeful Bettina Rodriguez-Aguilera.  Rodriguez-Aguilera has professed that at the age of seven, she was abducted by three “blond, big-bodied beings” (one male, two female) and taken to their spaceship, which was powered by quartz crystals.  She now states that she can communicate telepathically with extraterrestrials.

Last year, Rodriguez-Aguilera spoke to the Miami Herald and said:

“For years people, including presidents like Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter and astronauts have publicly claimed to have seen unidentified flying objects and scientists like Stephen Hawking and institutions like the Vatican have stated that there are billions of galaxies in the universe and we are probably not alone.

“I personally am a Christian and have a strong belief in God.  I join the majority of Americans who believe that there must be intelligent life in the billions of planets and galaxies in the universe.”

To be fair, don’t we all kind of believe that?  I mean, billions of galaxies and this hot mess is the only “intelligent” life out there?  Let’s hope not!

The Miami Herald acknowledges that this is sure to raise an eyebrow or two, but they stand by their endorsement.

“We realize that Rodriguez-Aguilera is an unusual candidate.  Last year, she told the Miami Herald—and several Spanish-language media outlets—that she believes in extraterrestrials.

“Her bona fides as a former elected official, and now a businesswoman who spends time in other countries training women to run for office, are solid.  [She] is a strong candidate in the race with plausible conservative ideas.”

Uh huh.  How much do you think that wall would cost?  Although that would explain Trump’s whole “space force” concept.  Do these politicians know something we don’t?  I mean… they gave her back, right?

I lived in Florida for a couple of years and I can attest that if something completely absurd happens in the U.S., there’s a 90% chance it happened in Florida.  So if you live there, if you need to renew your voter registration, now’s you’re chance.
