Guardians Of The Galaxy

With all of the drama surrounding James Gunn due to his firing over old tweets, the stars of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise have not had “an easy time” according to Chris Pratt.

Pratt shared:

“It’s not an easy time. We all love James, and he’s a good friend of ours, but we also really love playing the Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s a complicated situation for everybody. And you know, we just want to move forward and do what’s right and be the best people we can be.”

Responses have been mixed as to if bringing Gunn back would be a smart move for Disney or not but the more vocal fans, rumored to include those within Marvel Studios, want him back in the director’s chair.

The firing is actually why Pratt, and much of the other cast, didn’t get a chance to enjoy this year’s San Diego Comic-Con as much as they have in the past. Not only that, but Pratt shared that there likely wouldn’t be that much further discussion on the subject:

“I love going to Comic-Con, but I ended up not doing a lot of interviews around that time just because it was so shocking. All I know is we put a lot of time, thought and effort into the statement that we released about it. And I think we all kind of want that statement to be essentially what we have to say about it. And we were pretty clear and honest about how we feel.”

The majority of the cast have made their feelings known at this point with Dave Bautista being the most vocal, and until the studio officially makes an announcement one way or another as to the future of the franchise, the third installment is still up in the air.
