Well, while some fans are sitting back patiently waiting for the final season of ‘Game of Thrones,’ filling their time with things like watching ‘Westworld‘ or with time-honored hobbies like complaining that George R.R. Martin needs to stop messing around and get to work on writing the actual books (!), others are being a bit more proactive in trying to figure out how it is all going to end for the people of Westeros. According to a new report from EW, one such fan, a data scientist working for a company called DataRobot in Boston, recently wrote an immensely complex new algorithm to determine which characters are most likely to die in the final season of the series.
The man’s name is Taylor Larkin, and he took about 2,000 living and deceased characters from ‘Game of Thrones,’ pulling their information from the A Song of Ice and Fire Wikipedia entires, and analyzed their traits including gender (men are much more likely to die on the show as they are drawn into battle more often), living family member status (if their family is being targeted, they often do not fare well on the show), age (the elderly have lower survival rates apparently), nobility (peasant life is cheap in Westeros) and house (Starks and Targaryens have had a rough go of it), and input all that information into his algorithm, which uses automated machine learning, to determine which characters are most likely to survive the final season of ‘Game Of Thrones.’

- Daenerys Targaryen – 83.77% chance of death
- Jaime Lannister – 72.91% chance of death
- Tyrion Lannister – 70.76% chance of death
- Bran Stark – 66.02% chance of death
- Cersei Lannister – 60.39% chance of death
- Jon Snow – 58.99% chance of death
- Euron Greyjoy – 54.95% chance of death
- Sansa Stark – 50.28% chance of death
- Arya Stark – 49.04% chance of death
- Gendry – 39.87% chance of death
