Moon Knight

Fans of ‘Moon Knight’ have been hoping to see the character show up on screen for quite some time now and it looks like it could finally be happening! While the general thought would be that he’d be a great fit for fitting into the Netflix shows, it looks like he might be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As one of the character’s split personalities was a movie star, that does seem somewhat fitting.

We’ve also seen possible references to the character mentioned in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ which could help be a reason he ends up on the big screen. However, it was from Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige himself that dropped the bomb that we would likely be seeing him, just not when we would.

During the ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ press junket, Feige was asked if Moon Knight could appear and surprisingly stated:

“Yes. Does that mean five years from now, 10 years from now, 15 years from now? There are stacks of character cards that we have in our, in our development offices, which we look at. Which we pull for him, which we discussed.”

This looks not to be a matter of if he will appear but when. The idea of Moon Knight is a bit surprising for Marvel Studios as they would need to address the darker aspects of the character as well as his underlying mental issues. Netflix has been open to going that route, and even ‘Legion’ has on FX, but it isn’t something that the movies have looked at so far.

Perhaps, that is why they’re open to the idea.

Would you prefer to see an ongoing ‘Moon Knight’ television series to flesh out the character and his problems or do you think he would be the perfect fit for Marvel Studios to find another major issue to tackle? Is there a specific run of the character that you’d like to have adapted to film? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
