Schwarzenegger Terminator 6

After the flop of ‘Terminator Genisys,’ we’ve found out that a new film was going to reboot the franchise once more and now the untitled ‘Terminator 6’ will shoot this summer! The news comes directly from Arnold Schwarzenegger himself who hasn’t given us any details about the film or his role in it, just the shooting dates. He shared the filming changes during an interview at the recent 30th anniversary of the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio!

Initially, the upcoming take on the film was supposed to go into production in March though it was pushed back. According to Arnold:

“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that. I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”

I think we can all agree that Tim Miller has proven with ‘Deadpool’ that he can pull off a fantastic action movie and the return of Cameron to the franchise has everyone thrilled.

With turnaround times on filming, the new production dates mean we will probably have a release of the film in the second half of 2019. This means we’ll most likely be seeing a slew of details coming out at next year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The initial filming date wouldn’t have allowed for the film to get the comic-con push that it will likely need to help remove the bad taste in our mouths from the last couple of Terminator outings. This change of the release date also means that the movie won’t be going up against the ‘Fast & Furious’ spin-off film which initially had the same day for July.

Do you think that with a new creative team we might once again have a great action flick in ‘Terminator 6’? Are you looking forward to Arnold Schwarzenegger once again reprising his role as the T-800? Share your thoughts below!
